On May 20th 2017, Terence Jones owner of Skalptec was named winner of the 2017 Micropigmentation UK – Scalp Micropigmenation Award, beating 6 other scalp micropigmentation companies to take home top honors. Micropigmentation UK presented the award to Terence at Eastwood Hall Hotel in Nottingham UK. Each year ‘The Micropigmentation UK Awards’ recognises and rewards business and individual excellence within the British permanent makeup industry.

Potential award recipients were required to be nominated by micropigmentation Industry professionals to be in contention.

After receiving his award a delighted Terence Jones said: “It’s always great to meet with like-minded people at this event to the benefit of the industry and clients. The whole weekend was very well attended at an elegant venue. Back in 2016 being asked to give a live scalp pigmentation demonstration at the Micropigmentation UK awards was a pleasure, so my skill was recognised in the industry at that point in time. In 2017 after receiving an email request from one of the organisers called Sonia to put myself forward for the award I agreed. There were six other companies competing for the award, and the judges required before and after photographs of clients. Dawn Cragg M.B.E was one of the judges”.

Terence’s inspiration and why he chose a career in the scalp micropigmentation industry?

Over the past six years my life has been dedicated to this industry having made many sacrifices. So being self-taught it was apparent that some of the most natural and best results in the world were being produced at that time and that’s still the case. Skalptec has grown since then and Skalptec clinics are now in 5 locations in the UK and there is one clinic in the Netherlands. Mastering and fine-tuning the different scalp treatments has been a process as well as finding the best needles, pigments, machines and even the best motors in our guns right down to the finest details. As the owner of Skalptec we are always striving to improve so winning this award is fantastic and it’s a massive achievement individually and for Skalptec. Receiving this award is humbling and an honour it brings me pride and gratitude because it has been a privilege to have helped thousands of people so far and it just shows that with a lot of passion and dedication goals can be achieved.”
